Apple, oat & peanut butter smoothie
Apple dipped in peanut butter is a great snack at any time of day. This extends that combo into a smoothie that could easily serve as a quick breakfast in a glass. To make it a touch more indulgent you could add a swirl of honey and finish with a dusting of cocoa powder. You can blend it the night before and have it ready to go.
Ingredients
- 2 apples
- 2 bananas
- 2 tbsp oats
- 2 tbsp peanut butter
- 2 tbsp yoghurt/vegan alternative
- 300ml milk/plant milk, approx.
- cinnamon – optional
- honey or maple syrup– optional
- dusting of cocoa powder to garnish

Step 1
Core and roughly chop the apples. Peel and slice the bananas. Throw them into a blender along with the oats, peanut butter and yoghurt. Pour in the milk and blend until smooth and pourable, adding a dash more milk if needed to get your preferred consistency.

You can add a bit of warm spice with a pinch of cinnamon or boost the sweetness with a little honey if you like. Serve topped with a light dusting of cocoa powder.
