Chunky diced organic beef, carefully selected and prepared here in the Riverford butchery. It turns meltingly tender when cooked low and slow… Just right for hearty pies and stews. We love it for a rich, spicy chilli con carne too. Serves 2-3.

Delivered in insulated packaging to keep cool on your doorstep. Minimum meat order £15 to cover the cost of the packaging.

How to prepare

The perfect cut for a slow-cooked stew or pie. Season generously and fry until browned on all sides. Mix with the veg, herbs and liquid of your choosing and cook gently on a low hob or in a low oven (150˚C/Gas 2) for 2-3 hours, or until completely tender. The meat should be on the verge of falling apart.

Storage

Keep refrigerated below 5°C. Once opened, use immediately for best quality. If not required immediately freeze as soon as possible and always within the use by date. Once frozen use within 1 month. Defrost in a fridge and use same day. Do not refreeze.
