Make your own Riverford Christmas cake with this kit – including our easy step-by-step recipe, and all the organic ingredients you need except butter.

Our recipe makes classic rich and fruity cake, with some pear for extra fragrance, and sour cherries to give it a little zing. Don’t worry if you’ve never made Christmas cake before; it’s really easy to follow, with lots of helpful tips from our farm chefs.

Christmas cake is traditionally baked weeks in advance, and fed with the odd tot of brandy as the big day approaches. Grab this kit while it’s here in November, and start getting in the festive spirit.

    Storage

    Leave to cool in the tin and then store in an airtight container, feeding with 2 tbsps of brandy once a week until Christmas if you want it nice and boozy. You can eat it any time in between if you like. It will keep well for 8 weeks.
