Blood orange & rhubarb crush mocktail
A vivid pink drink using Luscombe’s rhubarb crush lengthened with a sharp, spiced measure of blood orange juice. Striking, celebratory and an ideal tipple for valentine’s day.
Ingredients
- 1 bottle of Luscombe rhubarb crush
- 6 blood oranges
- 2cm piece of fresh ginger, sliced
- 1 small cinnamon stick
- 4 cardamom pods
- 1 star anise
- 4 whole cloves

Step 1
Pull some long strips of peel from the oranges as garnishes and then squeeze the juice into a saucepan. Add the ginger and spices and bring up to a very gentle simmer. Turn it off and allow to cool and then refrigerate for at least an hour, ideally overnight.

Step 2
To serve, mix 2 parts rhubarb crush with 1 part blood orange juice. and serve over plenty of ice. Garnish with an artful curl of peel.
